So much love for this game. So much. Especially now that I'm no longer Doin' it Wrong, thanks to cypher's expert advice.

Though I am plagued with not one, but two trips to the irritating Ice Canyon place, an aggresively large armed boss, and snowy elephants that keep pushing me out of the area with their thrashing. No fun.

In this chapter, you play a bit without one of the characters. I was thinking, say, I wonder if, now that they are minus the girl, will they stop making innuendos.
Nope. Still innuendos aplenty. Oh game, how I love you.

I'm stuck at the beginning of chapter 6--no Leanne, and I'm fighting a giant level 54 ice monster with a giant gun. I'm thinking I might need to level up...?

...I think I wound up going with armor-piercing for that one? Which was not the recommendation I'd seen in the walkthrough on gamefaqs, but I had some Armor Piercing+ rounds and tried them out, and that did enough scratch to actually get the stupid thing down.

Being without a party member sucks. :x

Yeah--I'll have to invest in some of those. It was so much fun to just lob a couple of cocktails at the last boss and watch it go down in flames.

The plot's getting really interesting too.

And I have to admit, as camp as it was, Vashyron flirting with bartender made me laugh.

I have such mixed feelings about that scene! Like, someday I would really love to have overtly queer characters in games who were not limp-wristed lisping stereotypes. But I think video games sort of...lag behind other media in getting a clue about stuff like that, so I expect it to still take a while. And in the meantime, there were some charming bits to that scene, too -- I loved Leanne teasing Vashyron about getting a makeover, and how little that seemed to bother him. ^^

Yeah--I get that feeling with video games as well, like, well, we could do this, but we don't want those heterosexual male gamers to be uncomfortable!
I sort of feel like...it would have bothered me more if it had been with someone other than Vashyron and Leanne? If that makes any sense? Like, if it had been like Kamina reacting to Leeron in TTGL. But as they seemed to all be friends and not mind teasing each other, I was pretty cool with it.

GameFAQs says to shoot it in the back, avoiding jumping. This is excellent advice. XD

I'm sitting somewhere in chapter 9 and need to get back to it, too... it'd be nice if life would stop squashing me! Unfortunately all of the OCD-ish things in the game just take longer with each chapter (stupid quests, putting guns together, taking guns apart, putting guns together some more, yadda yadda) so I'm screwed.

That sounds like good advice! I just wish my team hadn't been gutted--I'm one soldier down this chapter!

I actually don't mind the silly quests--I think they're fun, but I think the difficulty level might start to wear on me after awhile. Which is a shame, think Leanne, Vashyron, and Zephyr have one of my favortie vibes of any video game team ever.
